eMate y2010 bug fix/patch was created by Doctor Clu
Alright, after needlessly fiddling with BasiliskII (I really needed to
have it run MacOS 8.1!) and a bit of sloppiness, here's the updated
patch for the Y2010 problem for eMates:
40hz.org/downloads/Patch-732000.zip
As before, I would definitely recommend to wait with patching until
people who can safely wipe the patch have tried it out and reported
success. Wiping an eMate is done the same way as with the MessagePads,
give it a MP2x00 ROM board and it will clear the internal flash.
Unfortunately, this patch has the same missing feature as the patch for
the German MessagePads, the time will always reset to Jan 1st 2024
after a reset or power loss. That's something left for a rainy day.
